The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society has introduced online registration and ticket sales while strengthening security measures ahead of the 116th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show. The changes are part of measures aimed at improving visitor convenience and safety during the event, which will run from 24 to 29 August 2026 in Harare.
According to the ZAS, visitors will have access to online registration, online ticket sales and agent ticket sales ahead of the show.
The in a press statement early this month, the organisers have also added entry gates and expanded parking areas, with the society saying the additional parking will be more secure. Security has been identified as a priority for the organisers during this year's event.
The ZAS said it had significantly strengthened security measures through the installation and upgrading of closed-circuit television cameras in the Business Hub.
The society is also continuing a child-safety initiative under which children will be tagged to support their safety and facilitate quick reunification if they become separated from their parents or guardians.
Parents and guardians have been urged by the organisers to make use of the child-tagging service during the show.
The measures come as ZAS prepares for an event targeting 630 exhibitors across 89,000 square metres, with 350 exhibitors already confirmed at the time of the press briefing.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, 28 August, while the show will also feature entertainment including performances by Jah Prayzah and fireworks displays on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
