InnBucks MicroBank Limited has officially launched its new 24/7 automated teller machines (ATMs), introducing continuous, automated deposit and withdrawal capabilities across selected Simbisa Brands fast-food outlets.

This development represents a key technological expansion for the fast-growing fintech institution, marking a major milestone in driving financial inclusion across Zimbabwe's unbanked and underbanked populations.

The newly unveiled self-service infrastructure allows users to seamlessly perform both cash-in and cash-out transactions at any time of the day or night. Operating completely outside traditional banking hours, the round-the-clock service aims to eliminate rigid daytime constraints for ordinary consumers.

By deploying these terminals directly at high-footfall fast-food locations, the microfinance institution bridges the gap between quick-service retail and everyday banking. Customers visiting participating Simbisa hubs can now execute instant transactions while ordering from popular fast-food chains.

The technical architecture powering the InnBucks ATMs focuses heavily on transaction speed, processing user requests almost instantaneously. Through an optimized interface, account holders can interact with the machine using their registered mobile wallets via the mobile application or USSD protocols.

Security remains a primary pillar of the automated platform, which utilizes advanced end-to-end encryption protocols to secure customer funds. Hardware reinforcements and modern anti-fraud mechanisms have been fully integrated into each physical unit to counter financial cyberthreats.

The continuous operational model addresses a long-standing challenge within the local market, where standard over-the-counter financial services shut down by mid-afternoon. Customers can now comfortably deposit surplus physical cash or access liquidity during emergencies late at night or early in the morning.

Initially, the specialized ATMs are rolling out across strategically selected urban branches to optimize geographic accessibility. Installations have already been completed at several major Chicken Inn branches, including Joina City, Eastgate, Samora Machel, Greenfields Mall, Budiriro, High Glen, and Speke Avenue.

This aggressive channel diversification supports the bank's core identity as a licensed deposit-taking microfinance bank regulated by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. The company continues to position its digital wallet as an essential ecosystem for everyday retail payments, salary processing, and short-term microloans.

Financial analysts note that the introduction of automated cash handling will significantly reduce human processing bottlenecks and counter queues at standard retail tills. Removing the burden of manual token distributions allows in-store agents to prioritize more complex customer support tasks.

Moving forward, the fintech firm plans to expand its automated terminal network to additional regional towns and partner supermarkets. The ongoing technological investment highlights the microbank’s commitment to providing flexible, borderless financial services across Zimbabwe.
