UNDP, in partnership with the Government of Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe School of Mines, is calling on young Zimbabwean innovators to apply for the MineTech Innovation Challenge 2026.

The Challenge seeks innovative AI-powered and technology-driven solutions to improve mining productivity, safety, environmental sustainability and mineral value addition.

The top 10 finalists will receive funding support, technical mentorship, access to MineTech Hub facilities, investor-readiness training and six months of incubation support.

The Challenge is open to Zimbabwean individuals and teams under the age of 35, including students, researchers, entrepreneurs and start-ups.
